We had 14 participants overall, thanks
to all of you!
For the First time in this events
history, Bill and Joyce let the rest of
us take over the details for the event
preparation. It was a little more work
than we thought! I must say this
event preparation was made possible by
the efforts of many people, but a few
people in particular put a LOT of time
and Effort into putting this together:
Bruce Gordon... Man,
without his enthusiasm, continuous
effort, constant communication and
doing all the local "leg work" this
simply would not have happened.
Vince Smith... His whole
family jumped in. Tents, food, tables,
the coffee maker (very important), But
his wife, Sandy was his biggest help!
She sort of ran the place, while we
were "busy with our Bikes". The effort
that he and his wife put into this was
greatly appreciated.
Eric Bechtal... what can I Say, this
guy can COOK! He supplied (donated) a
Massive amount fantastic cooked pork,
and a lot of the cooking gear we used!
We did eat good!
Paul Smith.., Sort
of kept track of things, sort of....
But his wife Robin, worked with Sandy
to make sure we all had our Food and
Coffee, They "set everything up" and
kept it going while us guys basically
did our thing. Their contributions was
greatly appreciated!
I also must thank Terrie Leighliter for
being our "Chase Vehicle" picking up
all the Broken bikes. Because of her
efforts, even the guys that were
having a "bad day" ending up having a
good time anyway!
As for everyone else, I know you all
helped to pull this thing off and it
was greatly appreciated. Without
everyone's help and contributions,
this simply would not happen.
I can not thank Bill and Joyce
enough for creating and running this
event for so many years! What they
have done is truly amazing, and we
plan to keep it going for years to
come!
Next year, maybe it will be bigger
and better, and hey, if not, we will
still get together like family!
So, LakeErieLoop XIV is now in the
books. See y'all next year!
